SUHR SELECT 2018

The Suhr Select series represents John Suhr’s vision of a great custom guitar. These are John’s presentations of instruments that he would personally build for himself with the focus on achieving the optimal balance of beauty, tone and playability.

Each Suhr Select instrument was designed utilizing a “form follows function” concept and all of these guitars were built with a purpose in mind. All the materials that John specifically selected for this series contribute to his quest for building a unique and distinctive instrument.

As John continues to explore new ideas for custom instruments, the Suhr Select series will be the platform that delivers them to the world. We hope Suhr Select serves as an inspiration when designing your own Custom guitar.

Another important aspect of the Suhr Select series is the amount of creative input gathered from our key employees some of whom have worked with John for over 20 years. Through the years of their apprenticeship, these employees have developed into artisans whose talents significantly contribute to the overall fit and finish.

The following is a gallery of the instruments that were displayed at the 2018 Winter NAMM Show. Some of which feature unique finishes/stains and specifications never offered until now. This series is a testament to John Suhr’s lifelong dedication to the sprit of building the finest handmade guitars in the world.
