As the name suggests, Reactive Load I.R. adds impulse response technology to the original Reactive Load, allowing you to quickly and easily access an array of an expertly mic’d speaker cabinets. It comes preloaded with 16 Suhr speaker cabinet impulse responses captured by Celestion. Reactive Load I.R. is an open system, so you can load 3rd party impulse responses via the USB port.

The Reactive Load I.R. is virtually indistinguishable from a mic’d speaker cabinet which allows you to get professional quality sound in any room. Engineers will love the ability to use both outputs to simultaneously record the dry signal and the I.R. effected signal for maximum flexibility when mixing.
Practice
Reactive Load I.R. is also the ideal practice tool. The auxiliary input allows you to plug in your smartphone or other audio source and JAM along to your favorite songs through the headphone output, all while using your tube amp.

The Reactive Load I.R. eliminates the need to mic your speaker cabinet and gives you the ability to send the FOH engineer a perfectly mic’d guitar sound that is consistent night after night, without mic bleed issues.

Reactive Load I.R. is an open system, which means you can connect it via USB to a computer and load your favorite third party impulse responses.

Silently practice with your tube amp. No DAW required.
Connect your tube amp and headphones to the Reactive Load I.R. You’ll hear the I.R. processed signal through the headphones, and if you want to jam along with tracks, no problem. Connect any stereo 1/8″ audio source to the AUX IN connection on the Reactive Load I.R. and you’ll hear the I.R. processed signal along with your backing tracks through the headphones.

The original Reactive Load is renowned by many as the standard for speaker cabinet load replacement. The same dynamic, analog accurate, load technology is at the heart of the Reactive Load I.R.
The load circuitry has been meticulously designed to preserve the character, nuance of tone and the essential feeling of being connected to a real cabinet. The addition of impulse response technology allows for speaker cabinets and microphones to be sampled, not just simulated, making I.R.s sound virtually indistinguishable from a real cabinet and mic.

CAB NUMBER
Displays selected Cab I.R. (1-4)

I.R. SELECT
Turn to select between 4 banks of 4 Impulse Responses for a total of 16 different CAB choices.
Push and hold to 'lock' your selected I.R., this prevents accidentally changing to another I.R. even when you turn the unit on and off.
H.P. LEVEL
Turn to adjust volume of IR output through headphones.
H.P. OUTPUT
1/8" Stereo Headphone output for easy monitoring or practice.
AUX INPUT
1/8" Stereo Auxilary Input for connecting smartphone or other audio device.
D.I. LEVEL
Turn to control volume of Balanced/Unbalanced Outputs.
SIGNAL BOOST

INPUT (FROM AMP)
Plug in 1/4” cable from 8 ohms Speaker Out of amp (Generally 4 ohms is ok, but consult your amp manufacturer).
THRU (TO SPEAKER)
Connect to external speaker cabinet.
Using this option disables the internal load. If a 1/4” cable is plugged in to this jack MAKE SURE the other end is plugged in to a load or damage may occur.
DI/LINE OUT (I.R.)
Connect 1/4” to DAW or mixer (FOH)
This signal is filtered through the impluse response, meaning you will hear the tone with your selected I.R.
DI/LINE OUT (UNFILTERED)
Connect 1/4” to DAW or mixer (FOH)
This is an unfiltered (dry) signal with NO impulse response affecting the tone.
POWER
Connect to 9V DC power adapter (center negative).
